Divan Brasserie Beyoglu

Divan Brasserie Beyoglu
Divan Brasserie Beyoglu (The Marmara Pera, Meşrutiyet Caddesi No.167/185, Tepebaşı; Istanbul) – this restaurant is located on top of a renovated han (large commercial building), where the Koç University’s Research Center for Anatolian Civilizations is also found. The food served here is a mix of Mediterranean (including Italian) and Turkish dishes – ranging from pasta, pizzas and risottos, to Turkish specialties like Ağır Ateşte Dana Kürek (beef brisket slow cooked to perfection). The tender meat served on eggplant puree is a surprisingly light twist on Turkish beef dishes, and it leaves diners craving for more. Another recommended dish is the Octopus Carpaccio (where green beans, potatoes, and zesty vinaigrette come together to create a delicious tableau).
